Can you believe that over 2000 people passed through this entrance to the CICG?
It’s not even the first official day and the main entrance to the CICG saw a record number of participants come through to collect their badges, setup the marketplace, attend post-2015 DRR consultation meetings, and get themselves oriented to the venue.
Here’s a breakdown - out of the 2,485 people who came to collect their badges:
- 673 were delegates from 165 governments
- 634 were from 129 UN offices and 47 Inter-governmental organizations
- 209 were from 130 academic institutions
- 159 VIPs including 19 ambassadors
- 100 were from 67 private sector companies
- 372 were from 209 non-governmental organizations
- 22 were from the media
