Champion Mayor Rallies for Local Resilience
Mayor Graciela Ortuzar of Lampa, Chile, a Champion of the Making Cities Resilient Campaign, addressed the United Nations Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction 2013, in Geneva today to promote support for local governments to build the resilience of their communities. Mayor Ortuzar also encouraged global and National leaders to integrate disaster risk reduction objectives into sustainable development and climate change goals.
